Hamburg/ Kampala. Recently, the foundation Hanns R. Neumann Stiftung (HRNS) has been granted support by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation for developing a project assisting up to 20,000 smallholder coffee farmers and their families to increase income and improve their livelihood. With a sound partner network in place, the HRNS has just launched the first phase of the project which will be conducted over a period of four years. The project will work closely with the Uganda Coffee Development Authority, the EU, the rural development projects of USAID and DANIDA, and the Douwe Egberts Foundation.
