Partners

We are building our efforts on a partnership approach and joint action with key stakeholders to achieve significant impact.

We are cooperating with roasting companies and other private sector partners who are interested to make a contribution to promote sustainable development in coffee producing countries through practical project work. Thus, the foundation is working together with Luigi Lavazza S.p.A. (Italy), Löfbergs Lila A.B. (Sweden), Neumann Gruppe GmbH (Germany), Gustav Paulig Ltd. (Finland) and Tchibo GmbH (Germany) are the shareholders of the non-profit company International Coffee Partners GmbH (ICP) (www.coffee-partners.org). Furthermore, it is implementing projects and activities in cooperation with dedicated roasting companies such as Costa Coffee (Costa Foundation), Joh. Johannson,  Kraft, Nestlé, Sara Lee (Douwe Egberts Foundation), Tim Hortons amongst others.

International Development Organisations as much as Coffee Institutions are core partners for supporting the implementation of relevant initiatives. Prominent collaboration has been established with the Agence Française de Dévéloppement (AFD), the Common Fund for Commodities (CFC), the German Development Finance Institution (DEG), the European Union (EU), the German Agency for Development Cooperation (GTZ), the International Coffee Organisation (ICO), the Interamerican Development Bank (IDB), the International Finance Corporation (IFC), Capacity Building International, Germany (InWEnt), the US Agency for International Development (USAID) as well as others.

Also, Hanns R. Neumann Stiftung has established cooperation on a project basis with NGOs and dedicated organizations such as ACDI/VOCA, the Commonwealth Agricultural Bureau International (CABI), the Coffee Support Network (CSN), Habitat for Humanity, IESE Business School, Intermón/Oxfam, International Institute for Sustainable Development (IISD), the Rainforest Alliance (RFA), Solidaridad, Utz Kapeh, World Neighbours and many more.

To further develop its approach and to contribute to the proliferation of concepts for the promotion of sustainability in coffee Hanns R. Neumann Stiftung is engaged in a number of strategic alliances. Presently, contributions are being made in particular to the process of implementing the Common Code for the Coffee Community (CCCC).
