Four strategic priorities

Coffee Drying in Uganda

Projects
Conducting projects, realising tangible, grassroots examples for sustainable development is the core of our work. Our current portfolio comprises twenty-one active projects across eleven coffee producing countries within the scope of Partnership for Sustainability and twelve projects under the umbrella of Hanseatische Natur- und Umweltinitiative in Northern Germany.

Scalable best practice models
We strive to create best practice models from our project work. By scaling and mainstreaming these valuable experiences we impact economic, environmental and social framework conditions. Within this
context assessment of past experiences: the preparation of tools and instruments as well as further development of approaches next to partner network is crucial.

Innovations in sustainable agriculture
By publishing the results of our work, by participating in events, conferences and roundtables we try to be at the forefront of sustainable agriculture. Sharing our knowledge and providing our expertise
at both local and regional as well as national and international levels we "spread the word" and learn from others.

Awareness building and youthwork
It is essential to further the understanding of the generation of tomorrow for sustainable development. We do this prominently with our "Hanseatische Natur- und Umweltinitiative". However, we also have
had very positive response from projects in coffee producing countries where we have placed a strong emphasis on youth work.
