Löfbergs, founded in 1906, is one of the biggest coffee roasters in the Nordic region. The family-owned company, now in its 4th generation, has been working on sustainability issues for just over a hundred years. In 2014, the family strengthened its commitment by forming a private foundation that promotes sustainable development in coffee-growing countries.

The foundation is funded by the Löfberg family and is managed by a board consisting of the siblings Therese Gustafsson, Martin Löfberg and Kathrine Löfberg. HRNS is cooperating with Löfberg Family Foundation in the C.A.F.E. project in Ethiopia.

C.A.F.E. Project

The activities of the C.A.F.E. project in Ethiopia focuses on a step-by-step improvement of farm production and management as well as access to key services and markets. Both technical and commercial aspects has also been covered in order to enhance the agricultural performance and competitiveness of farming households.
