"Back to the Roots", a 3-year project, is working with 200 coffee families in #Brazil to identify possibilities to #reuse and #recycle waste from #coffeeproduction and transform organic waste into valuable raw materials. ♻️ https://www.hrnstiftung.org/building-a-circular-economy-in-coffee-production/ @melittabrasil @uflabr

Organic waste generated from coffee production has underestimated potential! To release these potentials, we've partnered with @melittabrasil and @uflabr, to implement a #circulareconomy approach as part of a 3-year project in #MinasGerais, #Brazil.♻️ https://www.hrnstiftung.org/building-a-circular-economy-in-coffee-production/

#CaféConHistoria, recognizes the incredible work of coffee farming families taking part in our projects around the world! Today, Maricelda Gómez 🇬🇹, shared her story. Connected, and with great delight, our global offices came together to enjoy her testimony and coffee. ☕✨

Not all #youth have access to land. Alternately, youth in #Uganda are taught how to manage #coffee farms for other farmers at a fee, as an additional source of income. Youth-parent meetings are also organized to encourage parents to lend land and involve youth in farm activities.

Through our partnership with @StarbucksNews in #Honduras, we are contributing to 1,750 #healthy #households through improved water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH) practices. This includes, proper #HandHygiene. #WorldHandHygieneDay

#HandHygiene is essential to protecting global health. It is also the most cost-effective ways to prevent the spread of infectious diseases. Let’s make hand hygiene a priority so that all communities have the resources to wash their hands properly. 🧼💦 #WorldHandHygieneDay

Did you know that approximately 40% of the world’s population does not have a place in their homes to wash their hands with water and soap? @UNICEF #WorldHandHygieneDay #HandHygiene

Jane, from #Uganda, has always enjoyed learning about her family's #coffee #farm. At the age of 18, her parents gave her part of the farm so she could grow her own coffee. They've guided her in creating budgets and income statements to manage her money and invest wisely. 💡

HRNS Project Coordinator in #Brazil, Silvia Torres, participated as a guest speaker in an online event part of the Circular Coffee Community to share HRNS’ experiences working towards a #circulareconomy in #coffeeproduction and exchange with other actors on what can be done.
