Together with our partner @IHCAFE1, and through our joint project @EUROCLIMA_UE_AL we are supporting semi-mechanized #coffee #harvesting instead of hand picking!
We are encouraging the use of a selective semi-mechanized harvesting device that knocks ripe coffee cherries loose.

Our 5X1 Diversification System in #CentralAmerica helps smallholders #diversify their agricultural production systems. 5 rows of #coffee are grown for every row of the diversified crop.
This system promotes: crop distancing, management and agro-forestry.
