What it means to partner with Hanns R. Neumann Stiftung

Hanns R. Neumann Stiftung has strong and reliable networks in the countries where we operate and on-the-ground working experiences through numerous project interventions. Farmer families, local governments and other development organizations trust our consistent work and long-term cooperation. They appreciate the impact we achieve. We are deeply rooted next to farmer communities and our field staff is often felt like being a part of their families. That makes a partnership with us being like a member of the communities and not just projects.

We are convinced of the importance of striving for collective impact and cooperation for achieving our goals. Long-term partnerships with both private and public sector players are crucial to bringing about real change. We aspire to work with like-minded partners and organizations that share our values and our idea of sustainability. Also the incorporation of topics complementary to our approach like Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH), Sexual and Reproductive Health and Right (SRHR), Financial Literacy, Information Technologies (IT) and more are gradually incorporated and implemented in close cooperation with experienced partners. With them and together with farmers we are learning continuously to strengthen project operations and generating real and measurable impact. Pooling resources of private and public partners means going beyond the horizon of individual organizations and reaching larger numbers of beneficiaries with better offers. Cooperation also brings in fresh ideas and innovation and helps to take solution to scale. Over time, strong alliances and initiatives are growing from our partnerships.

We continue to work towards improving farmer families’ livelihoods. We are aiming at upgrading agricultural practices, continuing to disseminate our climate adaptation packages, improving farmers’ market access, strengthening the role of women and supporting youth. We need to start looking closer at landscapes, the responsible use of natural resources and appropriate framework conditions for rural development. Only together we will advance in shaping livable coffee landscapes of the future.
